The Blue Valley Youth Sailing Foundation (BVYSF) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable entity created by The Blue Valley Yacht Club. The youth program offered by the BVYSF is the Opti Sailing Camp. The Opti Sailing Camp is for youth ages 7-14. They use the same sailboats as used in the International Opti DIngy Association. The six day camp teaches water safety, how to assemble and disassemble the sailboat, boat handling skills, how to sail a specified course and racing a designated course.
